About me
Cody Hendricks for Mayor

Cody Hendricks is a lifelong central Illinois resident who brings a long-standing passion for local politics to his campaign. An experienced candidate, he has served on the Bloomington City Council since May 2023 as the Ward 6 representative. From 2011- 2015, Hendricks served on the Pekin City Council.

Hendricks is committed to being a leader who listens, acts, and delivers. He emphasizes tangible results and meaningful progress. While serving as the Ward 6 representative he works with business owners, city staff and residents alike to encourage economic growth and expanded services for Bloomington.​

Cody and his husband, Eric, live in the historic Franklin Park neighborhood with their dogs, Atreyu and Lizzy, and cats, Chomsky and Minnie. They enjoy gardening, taking walks through the neighborhood, and spending time downtown. He is currently a high school history teacher at Olympia High School where he serves as union co-president.
